Blurb
Homeless. Hungry. Desperate.
Doe has no memories of who she is or where she comes from.
A notorious career criminal just released from prison, King is someone you don’t want to cross unless you’re prepared to pay him back in blood, sweat, sex or a combination of all three.
King’s future hangs in the balance. Doe’s is written in her past. When they come crashing together, they will have to learn that in order to hold on, sometimes you have to first let go.
My Review King by T.M. Frazer
This is another new author for me and I quite enjoyed this book. It was subtle to start, easing you into the storyline with an interesting twist to it. The girl with no memories.
I was finding it a pleasant read until about halfway through and then “Boom!” there was action and blood and violence. Which was exactly what it needed in order for me to want to get the next book in the series.
DOE
Doe is a homeless girl somewhere in her late teens. She doesn’t actually know her age…or her name, or even where she came from. She just woke up in a hospital one day with no memory.
So with no money or family, she ends up on the streets living a less than safe life for a few months until a hooker friend of hers suggests she goes to a party with her.
While there she manages to get caught up in a spot of bother and somehow becomes the prisoner of King and ends up handcuffed to the bed.
As you can imagine, things progress from there and she slowly turns from a wide-eyed scaredy cat to a bit of a bad-tempered hell cat while she tries to figure out who she and King are.
I have to say I really enjoyed this chick.
KING
King is quite the rogue. He just got out of a three-year stretch in prison and his friends throw him a coming home party.
He’s really not into it at all until he glimpses Doe and it’s like a switch got flipped for him.
He’s drawn to this girl and just can’t seem to stop himself from wanting her or needing to be around her.
He is super sexy, covered in tattoos and extremely talented both in and out of bed. Another man that does not like to be told no!
He would swallow glass for those he loves, but they are few and far between, and God help you if you get on his bad side.
He’s quite a prick on and off throughout the story but you come to love him anyway when you realise what it is he’s fighting for and why! (completely heartbreaking parts)
SEX SCENES
The sex was good. Pretty detailed and saucy. I love angry sex!
“I told you,” he said. “I told you you’re mine. This pussy. This pussy is mine. Don’t fucking forget that shit again.” He thrust hard and angry. I took him. All of him. His cock. His anger. His possession. I let him claim me with his kiss, his cock, his words. We were fighting with our sex. A back and forth. A give and take. With our sex, we told each other I hate you and I want you and I don’t want you to leave.
I licked my lips wondering what he would taste like in my mouth. “No,” he groaned. “Don’t you go looking at me like that. We need to have this conversation. If you keep looking at me like that, any resolve I have to stop is going to disappear, and I will bend you over the hood of this truck and pound you into oblivion.”
FINAL THOUGHTS on KING by TM Frazier
Yeah it was pretty good. I’m glad it started to pick up more in the middle and I’m gonna read the next one in the series because they threw some heavy shit at you in the last chapter or two and I NEED to know what happens next!
